Tales From The Mancave | My Kit Bags | North Devon Photographer

The weather is foul outside, I am in between editing jobs this mornings and with several recent additions to my kit bag recently I thought it best to update records.
Plus with being booked as a second shooter at a destination wedding this summer, I started to play “Kit bag tetris” to try and squeeze it all in for the flight.

When you lay it all out like this it’s amazing what stuff I actually have, this isn’t including all the light modifiers, mono-blocks and stands that live in storage elsewhere.

So in no particular order here’s what I have in my kit bags. Most of this kit has been gathered over the past 3-4 years.

Bags: Calumet roller case, Think Tank LC3, Lowepro Stealth Reporter 300AW
5dmkii, 7d, 40d, G9, GoPro Hero2
Lenses: Canon 15mm f/2.8 FE, 16-35mm f/2.8 II L, 17-40mm f/4 L, 24-70mm f/2.8 L, 35mmm f/1.4 L (currently on loan), 100mm f/2.8 IS L. Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC, Opton 8mm FE
3 x Canon Speedlight 580exii
Other Stuff: Honl flash grids, light mods and gels (second pack of gels as first lot got stolen off me at a shoot!!), Cactus V4 triggers, Hahnel Giga T-Pro remote timer, Think tank pixel pockets with various 4,8, 16 and 32 gb cards (mainly sandisc but some others), off camera hot shoe cords, Enelopp batteries (simply the best), spuzs cloths and my pano head.

There’s loads of other little niknak bits but that’s boring stuff such as cables etc. When I lay it out like this it’s amazing what stuff I have with me on an average shoot, but being a full time professional photographer, I take my equipment seriously and always carry spare stuff just in case…

So there we have it, what’s in my kit bag? All of that stuff.
